Gate Fold Card

G
is for
GATE FOLD CARDS.

Version I

A Gatefold card is really easy to make as it requires just 2  score and fold lines.
Tip.  If you have a Scor Pal the markers are already in place and are shown as two dots on the top line of measurements.
Cut card stock to 8.5" x 5.5" and on the long length score at 2 and one eighth and then at 6 and 3 eights. Fold card on these 2 score lines.   It really is a simple as that. You can now  go ahead and decorate your card.

 Version II
If you want you can use a ready made blank card.  This card is 5.5" x 5.5"
Open card out flat and score at 2.75" and 8.25. Fold each side piece to the middle of the card.

You will now have the original fold line showing in the middle but this can be covered with your design paper.
You can now finish your card as required.

 Version III
Off Centre Gate Fold Card.

To create an Off Centre Gate Fold cut card stock to 11" x 5".
On the long length score at 2" and then at 7.5. Fold card on these score lines.

You can now decorate as required.
