Version I
1. Cut cardstock to 8.5" x 5.5".
Score in half at 4.25".
2. Die cut a 4" scallop circle from white cardstock at least 250gsm.
Die cut a 3.25" circle from printer paper.
3. Fold the plain circle in half.
4. Fold the plain circle in half again. 5. Unfold and mark the centre with a pencil point. 6. Place centrally over scallop circle and pierce through the centre mark.
7. Use a 1.5" circle punch to cut a hole in the top right corner of folded cardstock on front page only.
8. Card should look like this.
9. Place scallop circle inside card so that the top is just below the top edge of the card and 3 of the scallops are showing off to the side of the card as below.
10. Carefully turn card over holding scallop card in place and pierce through the circle at the centre point into the cardstock below.
11. Turn card to front and using a small brad attach the wheel to the back of card.
12. Choose a selection of sentiments that will fit inside your circle and stamp the first one as shown below.
13. Now start to turn the wheel as shown below.
14. Keep turning until the circle is blank again.
15. Stamp your next sentiment and repeat as above turning the wheel till the circle is blank . Keep repeating until you have filled the wheel. nb. You should get at least 4 sentiments to fit.
16. Attach 3D pads inside the card making sure not to go too close to the scallop circle or it won't turn when you seal the card.
17 Remove the sticky pads and close card. Attach 3D pads on the back of the card as shown below.
18. Cut a base card 10"x 6". Score and fold at 5".
19. Attach the view master card to the folded card.
20. I embellished the card with design paper as I went along at each stage before sticking down.
You can finish the front of the card as required. Recipient can now turn the wheel to see a different message appear in the View Master window.
