Winners post #150 is below this one.
Come on in.
Lets Spin the Butterfly Wheel.
Each challenge will be a letter of the Alphabet with a choice of 3 Colours , 1 Theme and a specified Card shape all beginning with the chosen letter.
(The discerning amongst you will notice that there is an added page along the top under the Butterfly Banner called Card shapes.)
I will be showing a link to a tutorial on this page with hints and tips for making the cards so just look under the letter being used for each challenge.
The card shape is not mandatory but if you do use it you will qualify for the top prize. You must of course use your butterfly and the other elements. The shapes will all be easy ones, just a different way to either fold or cut your basic cardbase.
If you don't want to use the card shape then
You can either choose a Theme or a Colour from the wheel + Butterfly to be entered for the 1st Prize.
If you use a Butterfly + a Theme + a Colour from the wheel then
you will be entered into the 2nd Prize.

Your cards look beautiful. I'm looking forward to giving this one a go.
ReplyDeleteWow Mrs A totally stunning cards l just adore them all x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspiration cards as always Valery Anne.
ReplyDeleteSue xx
Love the colour palette (am assuming hazel is brown). I will try my best to get something made if/when I finish Hochanda commitments which is slow going with current MS flare up.

And forgot to say thanks for the lovely inspiration.

Beautiful cards Mrs A......TFS
ReplyDeleteThank you for the detailed color descriptions because I would be lost otherwise. That herringbone card design is intriguing, but also intimidating so I'll have to take a look at the directions and see if it's something I can handle. Spring and butterflies are around the corner, but we had a terrible rain and wind storm last night, so it seems months away. Thanks for another lovely challenge Mrs.A!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspirations, I have never tried the herringbone technique but seems interesting.
ReplyDeleteSadly I have really scraps of time and can never find the time to create something suitable to participate. So sorry. I hope there will be better days for me and enjoy challenges.
Beautiful cards๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐๐congrats
ReplyDeleteHugs
I seem to be first this time! Think I've used all elements as long as my embossing folder counts as the herringbone element - if not no worries ๐. Some great ideas and inspiration from you as always.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be sure and play this time to try out this idea - even though I thought Hansa Yellow was yellow. Somehow, when I walk away from my computer, I've forgotten everything I just read! :) This was fun and even though it's cold and windy here, I was thinking of spring when I made my card. Take care!
ReplyDeleteYes! Now it has been possible to link my card.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice challenge Mrs A.
Lots of love, Wilma xx
Managed to take part this time Mrs A!!
ReplyDeleteMrs. A. Thank you for another interesting challenge. I have made a version of herringbone before (similar to your #2 but a little different), so I tried version 3 but with an A2 card so there was a little less room to work with. The colors were kind of tricky, but I believe Hansa yellow, or the color of sand, is there, along with hemp, herringbone, and of course a butterfly.
ReplyDeleteLove your makes, I hope mine counts as I have used a herringbone stencil, Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteYour cards inspired me to play along this time! I love all of the designs you created and the herringbone just pulled me right in! Thanks for the challenge, but I'm just playing for fun :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteFirst time entering your lovely challenge, hope it's okay that I've just stencilled a 'loose' herringbone design! I've added your herringbone tutorials to my 'to do' list x
ReplyDeleteI made it, Mrs. A! Thank you for your instructions/tutorial - it's much easier than it looks! Your inspiration cards have been beautiful and I'm so glad I tried it. I went with herringbone, hazel, and butterflies (entry 30). Hope you're feeling much better after getting the jab. I've been thinking about you.
ReplyDeletethis is such a great challenge. thank you for all the inspiration and tutorials.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better now.
hugs xx
I am sorry, that you don't feel well after the vaccination and wish you a quick recovery! I don't know when it's our turn, because over here it takes ages.....
ReplyDeleteWish you all the best,
Lia xx
Mrs. A, I sure hope you are feeling better!! What a horrible ordeal. :-(
ReplyDeleteYour cards are all amazing and so pretty! I was able to get a card done using your version II pattern - it was a lot of fun to make. I'd love to play for 2nd prize (using herringbone & orange), thank you. And I was able to use the butterfly flourish die that I just rcv'd from my win, thanks so much! I really love this set. ;-)
Here I am nipping in at the last minute to wish you well. I hope you are ok now. xxx
ReplyDeleteFinally had a little time to post a few cards. Had fun making a bright card on a cold and dreary day!
