We are now onto the 10th letter of the alphabet which is J. Winners results for #125 are in the post below. Make sure you check back as it could be you. Can I please ask that Winners do acknowledge their prize in the comments on the Winners post as well as emailing their details to me. This way I will know to expect an email. Please state if you are only playing for fun so that it gives someone else the chance to win.
Please note that owing to continuing health problems this Challenge will be running for 4wks.
(My frozen shoulder is prohibiting me from spending too much time not only in making cards but also being sat at my computer. I am finding typing long posts tiring so need to reduce the amount of time needed to do these as much as possible and hope you will understand.)
Come on in.
Lets Spin the Butterfly Wheel.
Each challenge will be a letter of the Alphabet with a choice of 3 Colours and 2 Themes all beginning with the chosen letter.
New for this Yr. The 7th element of the wheel is a card shape.
(The discerning amongst you will notice that there is now an added page along the top under the Butterfly Banner called Card shapes.)
There will be a card shape for the letter being used for each challenge and I will be showing a tutorial on this page with hints and tips for making the cards.
The card shape is not mandatory but if you do use it you will qualify for the top prize without having to combine all of the other 6 elements onto your card. You must of course use your butterfly. The shapes will all be easy ones, just a different way to either fold or cut your basic cardbase.
If you don't want to use the card shape then
You can either choose a Theme or a Colour from the wheel + Butterfly to be entered for the 1st Prize.
If you use a Butterfly + a Theme + a Colour from the wheel then
you will be entered into the 2nd Prize.
Please state in your post which part of the wheel you are using to play with.
2nd card version II using a 3D embellishment as the closure.

Beautiful both and particularly love the first one design with the belly band!!
Sorry to hear about the frozen shoulder - and you'll not be wanting to apply heat packs to it in this weather! Hope you feel better soon.
Really love the cards you've made this time - and I'd been hoping that the "J" fold would be Joy Fold as I love making them.
Oooer, now if I could work a butterfly into a Christmas Joy fold I'd be a happy bunny! But with four weeks to play I might just manage to join in as I love Joy fold cards. And these are great!
So sorry the shoulder is still giving you trouble - I've heard it's very painful, Len's Mum had it once - it did clear up eventually but you're wise to take things easy and rest it! Easier said than done I expect.
Hugs
Di xx
Lovely cards and beautiful colours too.

Wise decision to extend the challenge so that you can rest your shoulder more. Take care of yourself.
So sorry to hear of your health problems - get well soon!
I hope each day you are feeling better. I was so glad to be able to join in this month. I was anxious to use the origami paper and your Jade and Jasmine were just perfect. Lovely inspiration cards.
great challenge Valerie !!
i like the green jade colour , (the color blue-green is nice , but i decide use green pallet
hugs for you
have a great weekend
pd... sorry , I hope you recover your health soon
hugs and good vibes :)
I really hope your shoulder will be better soon!! Today I am joining in the challenge and I had a lot of fun making this card because of the great shape. I think I used all items for the challenge!
Enjoy your day,
Lia xx
Hope you are taking care of yourself and your shoulder is healing. My husband had surgery a week ago and we are finally home. I was like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz getting back in my craft room (there's no place like home). :) I was able to put all of the "J" wheel element challenges on my card---no small feat but FUN. This is my first time making a Joy Fold Card so thank you too for that. :)
I hope your frozen shoulder is in the thawing phase. I had one a few years back and only agreed to have a cortisone injection when the pain became unbearable (when I could move my arm no more than 30% sigeways). That's when recovery set in, but it still took me about 5 months to fully recover. In hindsight, I do wish I had consented to the injection sooner.
It's been a few weeks since I last spent some time in my craft room, but I'm hoping to play along for a change.

I hope you are feeling better.
I love your challenge, great fold.
crafty hugs xx
Oh, I do hope that darn shoulder improves soon as it's really difficult to get around without being able to move it, I'm sure. The human body works so wonderfully...until it doesn't. I actually love that the challenge is for 4 weeks, because time always seems to rush by and my plans to participate seem to just fall by the wayside. The Joy Fold is one that I've done before so I'm actually looking forward to this one. However, I just need to figure out what color Jasmine is now!
My heart goes out to you suffering from a frozen shoulder. It is such a painful condition. I remember one excercise that helped the pain was to bend over at the waist till your upper body is horizontal and let your sore shoulder fall vertically. Let is swing in a lazy circle. It really helps the pain and yet gets some slight movement into the shoulder.
Massage with a shoulder specialist was was fixed me. It does take a long time. I was also doing physio, but I know it was the massage that helped the most. It is painful massage though as they are breaking down scar tissue.
This joy fold card looks great. I am off to physio in a few minutes and am usually fairly sore later, but will start this card tomorrow. I want to try this fold!
Take care and big hugs from the west coast of Canada!
I've been dealing with frozen shoulder issues for a little more than 3 months and it's much better recently but I used ice packs, not heat packs. Ice for inflammation, heat for muscle strain. :-D Wishing you the best. I know how painful it can be and keyboard time seems to be the worst.
Hope your shoulder is getting better. My SIL had that problem and I know it's uncomfortable.
It was fun to do the joy fold. It's such an easy and effective fold, but I had pretty much forgotten all about it. (I'm really enjoying all the folds you're highlighting, and I'm really not a "fold" person.)
I am so sorry to hear that about your shoulder Mrs A, I hope it gets better for you real soon. Your creations are beautiful, love the designs and colors!
