Your Butterflies

Please state the elements of Your Choice.

Here are  my inspiration cards for you but before I show them

though it is time to raid the kitchen for some tin foil.
Oh yes tin foil is not just for cooking!!

Here I have used tin foil glued onto thin 160gsm card stock. The foil was cut slightly larger and when glued wrapped over the card stock edges. I then ran them through my big shot using various embossing folders. These are just two of the designs I picked and ready to be made up into cards

Here I have used the tin foil to create some die cut butterflies. Top one  was a smaller piece of tin foil glued and wrapped onto cardstock, diet cut (you need to do this first or pattern will flatten) and then placed in an embossing folder and run through my big shot.  The bottom one  was left plain  because I was using a fancy die cut . With the bits of left over foiled cardstock I  also cut some sentiments.

1st card using
Forest Green/French Rose/Fuchsia
Flowers/ Frame/ Foil/Butterflies
On this card I have used some coloured sticky foil sheets that a friend sent me.
2nd card using
Forest Green/French Rose/Fuchsia/Flame/Frosty Blue
/ Frame/ Foil/Butterflies
On this card i have used tin foil put through an embossing folder and then coloured the butterfly design raised area using alcohol marker pens.

3rd card using
Flaxen/Frosty Blue
/ Frame/ Foil/Butterflies
On this card I have used sticky backed foil sheeting adhered to cardstock and run through an embossing folder for the background . The sentiments and butterfly were made using tin foil using the method all ready described above.

Hope i have given you some ideas for using tin foil.

Please be sure to read all the rules on the tab above.

Enter your creations in Mr Linky below.
Please also state if you are only playing for fun.

Happy crafting and see you soon.

The challenge will run for 3 weeks so will end on
Tuesday 4th June.

Kitchen tin foil is a so useful material, it could be coloured also with liquid alcohol inks for some interesting effects. I use also the lids of the aluminium pans, those we put in the oven or in the freezer. The lids of these trays (almost here in Italy) have a cardstock side that makes them very resistant and take a good embossing, also with the back in cardstock they stick very well on the cards with normal glue.
Beautiful cards for inspirations, love how you mixed the handmade embossed foil with the sticky ones. The second one with the embossed and coloured butterflies is awesome.
Hugs

Since I retired, I have a limited craft budget so really appreciate that this technique doesn't required the use of expensive foils/foil machine! And your cards are inspiring of all the variety this technique can produce. Thanks so much!

Hello, sorry I have been away so long, I am here again now! I absolutely love these wonderful shiny, textural cards - just gorgeous. I must try using foil - I think I might have done but not for many years and can't really remember. Take care, hugs xxx💖💖💖
