#117 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter A for Aperture.

Well here we are at the start of a brand new challenge. Little did I think back in 2014 that we would still be going and now we are about to enter Yr 6. Thank you all for playing along with the last challenge.  Winners results for #116 are published in the post below. Make sure you check back as it could be you.  Can I please ask that  Winners do acknowledge their prize in the comments on the Winners post as well as emailing their details to me. This way I will know to expect an email.  Please state if you are only playing for fun so that it gives someone else the chance to win.  Challenge is for 2 weeks.

So we have a brand new wheel to spin and this yr we are going to go straight through the letters of the Alphabet starting with A.

Come on in.

Lets Spin the Butterfly Wheel.
Each challenge will be a letter of the Alphabet with  a choice of 3 Colours and 2 Themes all beginning with the chosen letter.
New for this Yr. The 7th element of the wheel is a card shape.
(The diserning amongst you will notice that there is now an added page along the top under the Butterfly Banner called Card shapes.)
There will be a card shape for the letter being used for each challenge and I will be showing a tutorial on this page with hints and tips for making the cards.
The card shape is not mandatory but if you do use it you will qualify for the top prize without having to combine all of the other 6 elements onto your card. You must of course  use your butterfly.   The shapes will all be easy ones, just a different way to either fold or cut your basic cardbase.

If you don't want to use the card shape then
You can either choose a Theme or a Colour from the wheel + Butterfly  to be entered  for the 1st Prize.

If you use a Butterfly + a Theme + a Colour from the wheel then
you  will  be entered into the 2nd Prize.
Please state in your post which part of the wheel you are using to play with.

So lets get started.

Oh boy Mrs A this is second blog where it’s been spammed .. see comment above, they are busy, shame they can’t pick them better,
Well that was blessing had a card with three of six elements on it today to share, it’s another of my glittery serviette cards, and curiously it’s had apertures in die cut. Really like it .. for my friend who loves purple and butterflies 😊

Oh goodness, I am trying to get my brain around this new twist to the challenge so please bear with me!! So,am I correct in understanding that the 3rd option is to either use all 6 elements plus a butterfly on my card OR just an aperture and a butterfly? Thanks for helping this befuddled crafter along..ha!

Hi, ValeryAnn! Your cards are melt-my-heart beautiful with their soft, golden colors - almost like the sun is shining its warmth through them! Both monochrome creations are beautiful! Wishing you a great day. hugs, de

Hope my entry makes it OK - internet went down in the middle of writing post and took ages to stabilize again. Just playing for fun this time.

I'm late … but not too late to enter! hehe Would love to play for 2nd prize.
Your cards are so lovely. I love the beautiful papers you used on the first card & it's a gorgeous design. And apple green, or lime green, is one of my very fave colors! Yum!

I like the new twist you have added to your challenges of a card style or technique. The aperture card was surprisingly easy to make and was just right for the sticker I had in my stash. I might have to make more of these with the rest of the stickers!!! :)
Your cards are just soooooooo lovely!! I am in awe of your snippet strip background!!! Beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful challenge and for the inspiration.
