Come on in.
Lets Spin the Butterfly Wheel.
Each challenge will be a letter of the Alphabet with a choice of 3 Colours and 2 Themes all beginning with the chosen letter.
New for this Yr. The 7th element of the wheel is a card shape.
(The discerning amongst you will notice that there is now an added page along the top under the Butterfly Banner called Card shapes.)
There will be a card shape for the letter being used for each challenge and I will be showing a tutorial on this page with hints and tips for making the cards.
The card shape is not mandatory but if you do use it you will qualify for the top prize without having to combine all of the other 6 elements onto your card. You must of course use your butterfly. The shapes will all be easy ones, just a different way to either fold or cut your basic cardbase.
If you don't want to use the card shape then
You can either choose a Theme or a Colour from the wheel + Butterfly to be entered for the 1st Prize.
If you use a Butterfly + a Theme + a Colour from the wheel then
you will be entered into the 2nd Prize.
Please state in your post which part of the wheel you are using to play with.

Your cards are so pretty, Mrs. A! That fold reminds me of the bridge fold, but I've never tried either one. I really like the look of this. Maybe I will get brave and try it.
Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial on the card folds. I often read UK craft magazines that explain how to do fancy folds...but their explanations are about as clear as mud. I love that you show each step, and even offer different angles for those of us who can't quite translate from 2-D to 3-D. I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to make the U-fold in such a way that it can be folded and mailed..maybe use a hook and loop attachment on one panel.
Just the one element (plus butterflies) for my first entry - so far my u-shaped card consists of scribbled notes and scraps of paper but I hope to get it made over the weekend.
Karen, if you happen to pop back and see the other comments, you'll be surprised the first time you make a U-fold card, they DO fold flat for posting!
.... and I'm back with my all-7-elements card. Loved your instructions, really clear and simple.
Gorgeous cards and sooooo clever with the fancy folds! Hope you are ok and thank you for the hint my friend! hugs xxxxxxx
Love your creations once again, I love how easy to follow your tutorial was, Made it a joy to make the card, Hazel xx
Well this U-fold might turn out to be a real favorite after finding out that it does fold flat for mailing. Thanks for pointing that out Jane. Now to figure out how to give instructions to the recipient so they can . tand it up once received. Pretty easy to set up, I would think...and a great way to use up scraps of paper. I also thought this was going to be a much larger card, and was relieved to see that's it really manageble. Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial Mrs.A!
Than you for the fun challenge I used all 7 elements and 14 butterflies. I love a challenge and I have never made a u shaped card before this will be fun to make again thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for your inspiration!!. Have a blessed day
