#131 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with O for One Layer Card.

We are now onto the 15th letter of the alphabet which is O  and now over  half way through the letters.  Winners results for #130  are in the post below. Make sure you check back as it could be you. Can I please ask that  Winners do acknowledge their prize in the comments on the Winners post as well as emailing their details to me. This way I will know to expect an email.  Please state if you are only playing for fun so that it gives someone else the chance to win.
Please note that this challenge is back to it's normal 2wks.

      Come on in.
Lets Spin the Butterfly Wheel.
Each challenge will be a letter of the Alphabet with  a choice of 3 Colours and 2 Themes all beginning with the chosen letter.
New for this Yr. The 7th element of the wheel is a card shape.
(The discerning amongst you will notice that there is now an added page along the top under the Butterfly Banner called Card shapes.)
There will be a card shape for the letter being used for each challenge and I will be showing a tutorial on this page with hints and tips for making the cards.
The card shape is not mandatory but if you do use it you will qualify for the top prize without having to combine all of the other 6 elements onto your card. You must of course use your butterfly.  The shapes will all be easy ones, just a different way to either fold or cut your basic cardbase.

If you don't want to use the card shape then
You can either choose a Theme or a Colour from the wheel + Butterfly  to be entered  for the 1st Prize.

If you use a Butterfly + a Theme + a Colour from the wheel then
you  will  be entered into the 2nd Prize.
Please state in your post which part of the wheel you are using to play with.

So lets get started.

The wheel is
O
and
One Layer Card.

Sorry my camera is having a blue day!!
I did use rich purple card stock.
Your 6 elements are:
Olive/Orchid /Old Gold/Only One extra embellishment / Oval +your Butterfly.

N.B.   Olive =Dark yellowish green.
Orchid is a Bright rich purple  colour.
Old Gold =  Dark yellow.

For the purposes of this challenge if you are making the card shape then one layer really means one layer so use only a blank card/or cardstock folded to make your base card to either stamp/paint/colour directly onto. You may use one embellishment of your choice to be adhered to the front of your card.
No die cuts unless this is your 1 added embellishment or you are cutting an oval in the front of the card and your design is therefore showing through from the  inside of the card.
Otherwise just have fun with the colours and your butterflies.

Here is my inspiration for you.
1st Card uses:
 One layer Card/only 1 extra embellishment/Orchid/Old Gold/Olive /Butterfly.

2nd Card uses:
 One layer Card/Ovals/Orchid/Old Gold/Olive /Butterfly.

You can see more details of the cards here on my blog.

These days I'm in my element with one layer cards so it's a BINGO! for me today - and if I get time I'll be back with more.

I haven't worked up the courage for the one-layer card yet but I went with Orchid on entry #5.

I admire everyone where a one layer card is their style. It's so much harder than layering it on. I gave it a go for you Mrs. A!

Beautiful creations Mrs A, lovely designs! Thank you for the challenge. I do make one layer cards sometimes though not very often. I may have to come up with something. :)

Beautiful cards, Mrs. A. I especially love the first one. So delicate and pretty. I tried my hand at a one layer card, which wasn't easy! lol I'd love to play for that prize. Thanks so much!!

Thank you for the one layer card challenge. It is a challenge for me but that what makes the crafting fun, to go beyond our comfort zone. Entering my one layer card here and keeping fingers crossed to count on the lucky stars for the awesome prize pack.
